When Jonathan and Steph told me their wedding reception was to be held at Red Hall in Bourne I was slightly puzzled. It wasnt a venue I had worked at before, or to be honest one I knew was a wedding venue. So I went for a little recce before the wedding just to seee what it had to offer. It used to be the railway booking office in Bourne, but is now privately hired out for functions and weddings.
What a gem of a place! As a local Bourne wedding photographer I knew of some beautiful places to take couples for photos, but the adding the Red Hall into the mix is an extra bonus. I would certainly recommend anyone in the Bourne area looking for a wedding venue to check this place out! It is hired out for very resonable cost by Bourne United Charities – leaving you to personalise it as you wish.
Jonathan had planned his wedding to Steph beautifully – the whole day was emotionally charged, you could tell he was absolutely over the moon to marrying Steph and he just wanted it to be perfect. And it was. We go to a lot of weddings and they are all different and personal, but this is the first wedding I think where the groom had personally been involved in somuch and taken such effort to get it all absolutely right. From the romantic church – Bourne Abbey with a Father who looked like Dumbledore (honest!) , the venue (perfect), to the ladies who dressed the hall from top to toe (Lincolnshire Lanterns) to a traditional toastmaster (Richard Marriot) and even – just – the weather every detail was an expression of his obvious delight at marrying the beautiful Steph. It was an absolute pleasure to photograph their wedding in Bourne – here are some images from their day – enjoy.

Ian Rose - As always Sharon, you have done this couple proud. You have also shown the benefit of using a professional wedding photographer – it’s not just about operating the camera. Without your knowledge of using the settings available, these magnificent images could have been less inspiring.
Fantastic as always – thank you for sharing.August 10, 2012 – 10:53 am
